GOFO Health and Education Inc. was incorporated in January, 2005 and received its 501(c) 3 status in March, 2006. We are also known as Greenville Organic Foods Organization or simply GOFO.
GOFO’s mission is to educate the community on the benefits of consuming organic foods and supporting local food systems, and to raise awareness on sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.
To create an educated community that embraces and supports an healthy lifestyle focused around a sustainable and local food system.
Our Board of Directors
The business and charitable affairs of GOFO Health and Education Inc. shall be ruled by the Board of Directors and Members. They shall hold office for at least 2 years or until their successors have been duly elected.
Dr. William Hendry
He is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and is board certified in both acupuncture and Chinese botanical medicine. He currently maintains a private practice in Greenville where he specializes in anti-aging medicine and womens’ health. He has been a member of several Weston A. Price Foundation chapters across the country and is the founder and current president of the WAPF of Greater Greenville chapter.
Jodi Price Hajosy
She has been involved in sustainability initiatives for over 20 years, working in the US and abroad. While working at Sustainable Sandhills in Fayetteville, NC, she developed the Green Business and Green Schools programs making businesses and schools more sustainable and educating business owners and school children on environmental stewardship. As a mother of 3 children, she knows the importance of raising kids in a healthier, more sustainable environment.
As one of the only certified Organic Farmers in the Upstate, Leland brings to GOFO both organic farming expertise and a passion for sustainable agriculture. He actively participates at many local farmers markets. Leland is happiest when he is on his farm with his grass-fed organic cows and his organic chickens (that rule the roost)!
Bruce Rowland was a previous GOFO Board Member and has returned to help the organization grow. His interests are GMO Education, nutrition, and alternative health. Bruce is also involved with the Westin A Price Foundation in Greenville. He is a Greenville native, an avid community organizer, and works hard encouraging Greenville to become a more Sustainable city! He brings a wealth of knowledge to GOFO.
